The good news: Lindsay Lohan is out of rehab. The bad news: She might be headed back to jail.
The “Mean Girls” star quietly left Betty Ford on Monday, after faking out paparazzi sites like TMZ and Radar Online with buzz that she might stay until Saturday. The tactic worked, as she completed her 90-day stint and was stealthily spirited away from the treatment facility that morning.
The starlet is evidently trying to make a fresh start; movers were spotted taking her belongings from her old West Hollywood pad to a new rental home in the Venice nabe of Los Angeles.
But she might be headed for less cushy accommodations soon. Following a scuffle with a Betty Ford staffer in December, police asserted Monday — yep, the same day LiLo left rehab — that she’d violated probation.
“The investigation determined Ms. Lohan violated several aspects of her probation, including the battery [charge],” the department said in a statement.
The actress’s probation officer will be notified; a judge has already warned her that probation violation will land her six months in prison. Her next progress report is set for Feb. 25.
And by the way, did we mention Lindsay’s new Venice spread is directly adjacent to ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson’s place?
While LiLo’s father Michael was moving her things in, “Samantha walked out of the building next door,” a source told Us magazine. “She was shaking her head and looking disgusted. She kept saying, ‘I didn’t plan it this way.’”
So, yeah, this all bodes well.
Life imitates tweets? After joking via Twitter last summer that they were married, Nicki Minaj and Drake have now become an actual couple, Life&Style magazine reports.
Both hip-hop up-and-comers were hosting separate parties at Miami clubs, but Drake was evidently eager to fulfill his promotional responsibilities and return to his lady’s side.
“Right after the clock struck midnight, Drake left his party at the W South Beach and dashed over to Nicki’s Moët & Chandon-sponsored bash at Mansion,” relayed a source, who added that they “were dancing and cuddling all night.” They reportedly left together around 4 a.m.
Last August, Drake announced via Twitter, “Please refer to @nickiminaj as Mrs. Aubrey Drake Graham and don’t stare at her too long. She’s finally mine.” The couple soon clarified they were kidding … but now it appears they’ve taken their social networking to a whole other level.
Just as we suspected, Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds are insisting they’re “just friends.”
Although Star magazine alleges that the pair grew close after their respective marriages tanked this year — pointing to their New Year’s Eve revelry together as evidence — their reps maintain there’s no romance.
“A group of old friends that included Ryan and Sandra spent New Year’s together at Sandra’s restaurant Bess Bistro [in Austin, Texas],” the Oscar winner’s mouthpiece explained to People magazine. “They all had a great time ringing in the new year as they have in the past ... as nothing more than friends.”
And though the “Proposal” co-stars are pals, Sandra’s also buddies with Ryan’s estranged wife Scarlett Johansson, who dined at Bess with Drew Barrymore a few days before the new year. Sandra reportedly stopped by their table to say hi — a good sign she has nothing to feel guilty about with Scarlett. (Then again, she is a pretty good actress …)
