‘A Radical Benefit for Humanity’: Robin Williams was on hand Saturday for an exclusive X PRIZE Foundation event at Lucasfilm’s Letterman Digital Arts Center.

SFMOMA anniversary gala: On Friday, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art supporters celebrated with two events, a Birthday Party Rooftop Dinner and after-party Birthday Bash. Chaired by SFMOMA trustee Norah Sharpe Stone, the gala hosted artists, patrons and art enthusiasts in an evening of creativity and music that raised funds for museum education and exhibition programs.


X PRIZE anticipates great change

‘A Radical Benefit for Humanity’: Luminaries came out Saturday for an exclusive X PRIZE Foundation event at Lucasfilm’s Letterman Digital Arts Center. Led by Chairman and CEO Peter Diamandis, the X PRIZE Foundation is an educational nonprofit whose mission is to “make the impossible possible” by supporting innovative breakthroughs that benefit humanity. 


Merola vocalists light up the night

‘All Around the Town’: On Saturday at the Fairmont Hotel, the 2010 Merola Opera Program presented its spring benefit, featuring special guest performances from illustrious alumni, including soprano Patricia Racette (1988), baritone Mark Delavan (1985) and pianist Mark Morash (1987).
