Gala highlights Asian spirituality

‘Phantoms of Asia’ gala: Wednesday night, the Asian Art Museum in The City hosted a bash to open its first major contemporary art exhibition, “Phantoms of Asia: Contemporary Awakens the Past,” an exploration of Asian spirits and spirituality. The elegant evening included cocktails, fine dining and a preview viewing of the extraordinary show, which covers galleries throughout the museum.

Refined fashions raise cash for the S.F. Ballet in high style

San Francisco Ballet Auxiliary Fashion Show:  Designs by Donna Karan were in the spotlight Friday afternoon at the Ritz-Carlton during the 31st annual fashion fundraiser for the ballet. The event, which featured lunch, a raffle and live auction in addition to the fine apparel, was produced and sponsored by Saks Fifth Avenue.
