Chic Marin store raises cash for girls

Poppy Store celebration: Stars came out May 4 at the Marin Country Mart in Larkspur for the one-year anniversary of the children’s clothing boutique; the party was co-hosted by C magazine. VIPs in attendance included store co-owners Jenny Belushi and Heather Whitney Rosenfield with their husbands, Jim Rosenfield and Jim Belushi;
C editor Jennifer Smith Hale; Reese Witherspoon; Alexis Traina; and Jennifer Siebel Newsom. Miss Representation, Siebel Newsom’s nonprofit dedicated to helping females reach their fullest potential, was the event’s beneficiary.

Stylish charity at art business launch

Minted launch: Supermodel Christy Turlington Burns and high-tech industry leaders including Marissa Mayer of Google were on hand Wednesday at the San Francisco home of Mariam Naficy to celebrate minted.com, her new art prints business. Partial proceeds from sales in May and December will go to Turlington Burns’ charity, Every Mother Counts, which is working to reduce the maternal mortality rate globally.
