African museum hosts glam gala

Museum of the African Diaspora Gala: On Saturday at the Palace Hotel, patrons and supporters celebrated the organization and its mission to illuminate the culture, history and art of people of African descent. Co-chaired by Lloyd H. Dean and Deborah Santana, the festive annual fundraiser included dinner, dancing and entertainment, with actor-producer Delroy Lindo serving as master of ceremonies.

San Francisco Performances Gala: On Friday at the City Club of San Francisco, the performing arts presenter of music and contemporary dance celebrated its 32nd season at a gala benefit.
