San Francisco Beautiful Awards Gala: “Together for San Francisco — A Masquerade Soiree” was the theme of the annual fundraiser for the group dedicated to creating and maintaining The City’s beauty. Held Friday at the Palace Hotel, the celebration of the 2011 San Francisco Beautification Award winners, chaired by Sharon Seto, featured cocktails, fine dining and dancing.

African museum hosts glam gala

Museum of the African Diaspora Gala: On Saturday at the Palace Hotel, patrons and supporters celebrated the organization and its mission to illuminate the culture, history and art of people of African descent. Co-chaired by Lloyd H. Dean and Deborah Santana, the festive annual fundraiser included dinner, dancing and entertainment, with actor-producer Delroy Lindo serving as master of ceremonies.

SF Performances kicks off season 32

San Francisco Performances Gala: On Friday at the City Club of San Francisco, the performing arts presenter of music and contemporary dance celebrated its 32nd season at a gala benefit. Event co-chairs were Thomas Beischer and Ellen Bermingham; festivities included dinner, a live auction and a performance featuring soprano Leah Crocetto with pianist Tamara Sanikidze.

Leather goods store reopens with smart style

Bottega Veneta reopening: The luxury leather goods retailer celebrated its Geary Street store with a cocktail party Wednesday hosted by Sloan Barnett, Carol Bonnie and Alison Pincus. Partial proceeds from sales benefited California Pacific Medical Center Foundation’s Wishes for Wellness program.
