Drybar Opening Party: Local owners Lindsay and Tom Glaser hosted a party June 28 to celebrate the popular Los Angeles-based salon Drybar’s expansion into San Francisco at its new location at 1908 Fillmore St. The salon — named one of the “100 Brilliant Ideas of 2010” by Entrepreneur magazine — is known for its low-priced blowouts in an elegant, fun setting, and for its celebrity following.

Sharmin Bock for DA fundraiser: On June 29, Christine Bronstein hosted a fundraiser for San Francisco district attorney candidate Sharmin Bock at Brick & Mortar Music Hall in The City. The free event included music from Salvador Santana, the Jimmy Dillon Band and Stef Coyote.

SF Foundation arts program director welcome reception: On June 27, more than 100 artists and patrons welcomed new San Francisco Foundation arts and culture chief Tere Romo. The foundation works to provide resources for community-driven philanthropy, including supporting arts education and broadening cultural participation in Bay Area communities.
