“One Home, Many Hearts”: Raphael House, a San Francisco-based organization with a mission to aid homeless families, held its annual gala, celebrating 39 years of service, on April 1 at Bimbo’s 365 Club. Organizers of the cabaret-themed party and benefit auction were Raphael House board chair Claudia Ross, Kate Smith and Stephanie Gilmour.

A magic, theatrical fundraiser

“Believe in Magic”:  The Magic Theatre’s annual spring benefit on Thursday at One Leidesdorff in San Francisco featured tricks by master magician Jay Alexander, tattoos, palm readings, an instant wine cellar raffle and a live auction moderated by Kenn Cunningham.

Porsche blasts off with store by Union Square

Porsche Design opening: On March 31, proprietors of the new luxury retailer on Grant Avenue near Union Square celebrated with a gathering to benefit the X Prize Foundation, a nonprofit tasked with  improving humanity by forming new industries and creating jobs.
