Hugh Hefner says his recent remarks about welcoming Holly Madison back to the Playboy mansion were misquoted. The girlie-mag mogul insists that he’s not still carrying a torch for his ex.
“I have no idea where these crazy stories come from,” Hef said in a statement to multiple media outlets, including Us magazine.
“The idea that I’m pining over former girlfriend Holly Madison and would ‘welcome her back with open arms’ is pure fiction.
“I’m in love with [new alpha girlfriend] Crystal Harris and wouldn’t trade her or [fellow gal-pals] the Shannon Twins for anyone in the past,” the octogenarian swinger added. “Holly will always be welcome here at the mansion, but not as a girlfriend.”
We’ve given up trying to figure out whether Hef actually has real relationships with these girls or is just playing a part for the Playboy brand. Wonder if he himself even knows the difference anymore?
‘Twilight’ Romance?
Is a hot new tween-idol romance in the offing? Disney star Selena Gomez and “Twilight” cutie Taylor Lautner have been spotted together in Vancouver, where she’s filming a movie. And from the looks of their cuddly, giggly body language, they could well be more than friends.
“Taylor and Selena are falling for each other,” a source confided to Star magazine. “They get together as much as they can.”
The duo were spotted with Selena’s mother last Thursday at a coffee shop, where, according to an E! source, “they were very low-key and kept to themselves. Nobody bothered them.”
But then, Saturday night, they had a dinner date together — without mom on hand to supervise.
“They were cuddling throughout the movie and sat very close together,” an observer (who evidently possesses night vision) dished to People magazine.
Reps for the stars haven’t commented. Ah, to be young and … mum on your relationship status.
Madonna: Un-Stable
Madonna’s high-maintenance demands left her without a place to board her horses, the New York Post reports. The pop icon and avid equestrienne wanted to stow her steeds at a winery in New York’s tony Hamptons. But a source says a 10-page list of demands, including the stipulation that “no one could be in the riding ring at the same time she was,” killed the deal.
“It was laughable,” the source jeered. “They turned her down flat.”
A rep denies there was any such list of demands. Still, could you blame Madge for not wanting people to watch her ride? After all, she seems to fall down an awful lot.
Jon’s Mea Culpa
Jon Gosselin of “Jon and Kate Plus Eight” is responding to rumors that he stepped out while his wife was away. The dad of eight was photographed leaving a bar at 2 a.m. and getting into a car with a mystery woman. But he says — though not in so many words — that there was no hanky-panky involved.
“Like most people, I have male and female friends, and I’m not going to end my friendships just because I’m on TV,” Jon maintained to “Extra.” “However, being out with them late at night showed poor judgment on my part.
“My family is the most important thing in my life and it kills me that these allegations have hurt them,” he added.
We actually kind of believe Jon. From what we’ve seen of Kate, we imagine anyone who snuck around behind her back would be in for a world of hurt.
