Go Red: On Valentine’s Day at Macy’s in The City, well-heeled San Franciscans stepped out in colorful shoes at Go Red Strut, an event presented by the American Heart Association as part of the group’s mission to help women reduce their heart disease risk.

Bennett croons to The City
UCSF heart research benefit: On Valentine’s Day, Tony Bennett sang his signature tune, “I Left My Heart in San Francisco,” at a return engagement at the Fairmont Hotel’s Venetian Room. The concert was a fundraiser for the UC San Francisco Department of Cardiology.
Anna Deavere Smith lights up Grace Cathedral
Grace Cathedral Carnivale: Playwright, actress and Grace Cathedral artist-in-residence Anna Deavere Smith, premiering her new work “My Grace,” was the performer Thursday at Carnivale a benefit gala. Proceeds will help fund arts and cultural programs at the cathedral.

Cupid’s Back: The sixth Valentine’s Day party, a benefit for the GLBT Historical Society, took place Feb. 9 at Supperclub. Mark Rhoades hosted the event, which was sponsored by PG&E and Banana Republic.
