Arts of Pacific Asia Show preview gala: On Thursday at Fort Mason Center, the Asian Art Museum hosted a preview gala for the 16th annual Arts of Pacific Asia Show, a top destination for collectors, curators and art investors. The bash will include three parties in one — a dinner, supper club and postmodern party, the latter featuring electrofunk duo Chromeo.

Fashion, philanthropy join forces to assist homeless families

Compass Family Services benefit: On Wednesday, Katie Traina and Philanthropist Boutique hosted a cocktail gathering to announce the Sacramento Street store’s new beneficiary, Compass Family Services, a San Francisco nonprofit serving homeless families and children. Though March 31, all of the store’s profits will be donated to the charity.
