The “Bachelor” curse continues. Emily Maynard has tearfully confirmed to People magazine, after months of rumors, that she and Brad Womack — like so many “Bachelor” couples before them — have ended their engagement. Gee, it’s almost as if appearing on a cutthroat reality TV show isn’t the best way to meet one’s soulmate!
Though Brad made a romantic proposal on the show’s March season finale, “we are no longer engaged,” Emily told People magazine. She said she wants to stop “all the media speculation” and “move on and get back to normal.” (That said, she just taped a Chris Harrison interview that will air July 11.)
“Just because we love each other doesn’t mean we’re right for each other,” Emily said.
For his part, Brad told the magazine in a statement, “The demise of our relationship was completely my fault.” He declined to appear in the interview with his ex.
Thanks for playing, kids! Better luck next time!
Brian Austin Green, if you’re reading this, you might want to skip to the next item. The rest of you will probably be interested in Shia LaBeouf’s recent remarks to Details magazine confirming the rumors that he and Megan Fox hooked up while shooting “Transformers.” (The sultry starlet is now married to the aforementioned BAG.)
“Look, you’re on the set for six months, with someone who’s rooting to be attracted to you, and you’re rooting to be attracted to them,” the actor said.
So what was the status of Megan and Brian’s on-again-off-again romance at the time?
“I don’t know, man,” the “Wall Street 2” star said. “I never understood the separation of work and life in that situation. But the time I spent with Megan was our own thing, and I think you can see the chemistry on screen.”
Uh, Shia? You could have just asked her.
Here we go again. David Duchovny and Tea Leoni have separated for the second time in their 14-year marriage, their rep said. And, according to TMZ, they’re reportedly not sure whether they will divorce this time.
The couple, who have two children together, parted ways in 2008 for several months, only to become one big happy family again.
The “Californication” star announced after their first rift that he was seeking treatment for sex addiction. No word — yet — on whether that’s a factor this time around.
What is it about Jason Sudeikis? We wouldn’t exactly have pegged him as an Adonis, but the “SNL” funnyman has been linked through rumors to beauties such as January Jones, Jennifer Aniston and now Eva Mendes.
The comedian and the bombshell actress are said to be a new couple, according to Page Six. The pair reportedly joined Jason’s “Horrible Bosses” co-star Jason Bateman and wife Amanda Anka for a double-date dinner at an NYC eatery Friday.
“Eva and Jason went out for a smoke break, and he told her, ‘We make a great team,’” a source said.
Allegedly, they left an L.A.-area event holding hands last week — and then were spotted kissing in a car.
Seriously, though, what is it about Jason Sudeikis?
