Nine people were injured Wednesday afternoon when two Muni vehicles collided near the intersection of Eighth and Market streets, according to the San Francisco Fire Department.

Paramedics could be seen treating one woman with a neck brace after the collision around 2 p.m., when a historic streetcar on the F-Market & Wharves line apparently rear-ended a 6-Haight/Parnassus bus.

Paramedics transported eight patients with minor injuries to hospitals in San Francisco following the collision, according to an incident report obtained by the San Francisco Examiner.

Those injured appeared to all be passengers on the two Muni vehicles, Muni spokesperson Paul Rose said.
