Elderly man sweeping SF parking lot robbed of watch at gunpoint

An elderly man was robbed of his watch in a violent armed robbery on Saturday morning while sweeping a parking lot on Third Street, according to police.

The 73-year-old man was taken to the hospital with injuries not considered life threatening after two suspects with a handgun demanded his watch and assaulted him on Third Street between Paul and Salinas avenues at around 8 a.m.

The suspects, two men, fled in a vehicle.

Police did not provide detailed descriptions of them.
