Telecom companies shares mixed at the close of trading

NEW YORK — Shares of some top telecom companies were mixed at the close of trading:

AT&T Inc fell $.02 or .1 percent, to $27.08.

Qwest rose $.13 or 3.4 percent, to $3.91.

Sprint Nextel rose $.09 or 2.4 percent, to $3.84.

Verizon rose $.16 or .5 percent, to $32.03.
