Hillary Ronen, who is in the lead to represent District 9 on the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, said she has mixed feelings so far about Election Night.

On one hand, she’s proud that her candidacy is doing so well since it represents the continuation of the progressive leadership the Mission District had under termed-out Supervisor David Campos.

Candidates for supervisor races and their supporters throughout San Francisco are weighing in on the first batch of election results, specifically the 142,307 vote-by-mail ballots counted as of Sunday.

But Ronen said her possible victory will be overshadowed if Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump wins.

“It’s not over,” Ronen said of the presidential race. “I’m concerned, but it’s not over.”
