OAKLAND — The Warriors will be hosting the Chicago Bulls sans Kevin Durant and Draymond Green on Friday night.
The former is still dealing with soreness in his sprained left ankle, while the latter has come to learn the value of a strategically-planned night off.
“It wouldn’t have gone well over the past few years,” head coach Steve Kerr said when asked what the resting conversation is like with Green.
With Durant and Green absent, Omri Casspi and Jordan Bell move into the starting rotation.
“He understands it. He doesn’t like it. He wanted to play, but I told him we’re sticking with this,” Kerr said. “We talked before the season started about doing this occasionally and he agrees — even though he doesn’t love it — he agrees it’s a good idea. So, we’re going to do it.”
