Hundreds of demonstrators gathered outside San Francisco’s Federal Building Tuesday, September 5, 2017 to show their opposition to an announcement made by President Donald Trump to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals policy, also known as DACA. The program, founded by the Obama administration in 2012, protects undocumented immigrants brought to the U.S. as children from deportation, but after Tuesday, no new applications will be accepted and the program itself is set to be repealed March 5, 2018.
