College roundup: CCSF men’s basketball snaps 10-game winning streak

CCSF

City College of San Francisco’s men’s basketball team saw its 10-game winning streak snapped on Sunday, when it lost to Butte in the Delta Tournament. The Rams fell, 83-66, in their worst scoring night since their last defeat on Nov. 17. Eddie Stansbury netted a game-high 25 points in the contest. He’s averaging 13.2 points per game this season. CCSF (14-2) returns to action on Dec. 30 against De Anza.

San Francisco State University’s men’s basketball team got back on track on Sunday by edging Cal State Monterey in a thriller. Brantley Bynum scored four points in the final minute to secure the Gators’ 84-82 win on the road. Bynum scored 20 points in the contest on seven shots. SFSU has a pair of games in 2017 remaining on the schedule. They’ll travel to Southern California to play UC San Diego on Friday next.

Academy of Art University men’s basketball team fell to 3-8 on Monday. The Urban Knights fell to Point Loma, 64-60. Cole Morgan scored 17 points.
