San Francisco’s Human Services Agency has put out a list of city congregations that have agreed to provide overnight emergency shelter for homeless people during the cold winter months, in addition to those shelters already providing housing.
Shelters include Trinity Episcopal Church, St. Mary’s Cathedral, St Mark’s Lutheran Church, and First Unitarian Church.

City departments are going to have to explain their spending and accomplishments up to this point in the fiscal year to a Board of Supervisors committee next week.
Beginning Monday, the Board of Supervisors Budget and Finance Committee will hold hearings on performance measures of all city departments. The hearings last all week.
The first of the Board of Supervisors Budget and Finance Committee meetings will be held on Monday at 11 a.m., at City Hall in the legislative chambers, Room 250.
The Planning Department has come up with new zoning rules for the Potrero Hill neighborhood, which it will unveil to the public during a community workshop on Monday.
The zoning plan includes policies on housing, land use, jobs, open space and transportation.
The city planners will hold the meeting on the plan on Tuesday, at 6 p.m., at the Potrero Hill Neighborhood House, at 953 DeHaro St.
