Cirque du Soleil performances in San Francisco were canceled Thursday for the third straight night after an industrial accident at the tent near AT&T Park claimed the life of the son of one of the circus’ founders.

Circus spokesperson Kevin Kopjak confirmed in an email that the Luzia shows scheduled for Thursday evening and night were canceled. Kopjak later said that the two performances scheduled for Friday would also be canceled.

The cancellations follow the death of Olivier Rochette, a technician from Quebec and the son of Cirque du Soleil co-founder Gilles Ste-Croix, who died from injuries sustained Tuesday during an industrial accident in the Luzia tent.

The death is under investigation by Cal/OSHA and the San Francisco Police Department.
