Four finalists are in the running to become chancellor at City College of San Francisco, according to an announcement Friday.

The college has been searching for a replacement for Interim Chancellor Susan Lamb, who abruptly announced in March that she was not in the running for the permanent role.

The finalists are David El Fattal, a vice chancellor at Ventura County Community College District, Brian Ellison, assistant superintendent and a vice president for Merced College, Mark Rocha, senior program manager in the New York Governor’s Office of Storm Recovery and Los Angeles Harbor College President Otto K. Lee.

“We are hopeful that one of these candidates will be the one to continue to move CCSF along this positive path to success for years to come,” Board of Trustees President Thea Selby said in a statement.

Lamb is expected to step down come June.
