The Redwood City Industrial Saltworks, the partnership between Cargill Salt and developers DMB Associates, will host a forum on open space, recreation and community space Monday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Veterans’ Memorial Senior Center, 1455 Madison Ave.

The group will invite representatives from the Committee for Green Foothills, Redwood City Park and Recreation Commission, the California Coastal Conservancy and local sports leagues to talk with the public about recreational spaces in the city. For more information, call (650) 780-7270.

Workshops geared toward city manager recruitment

The city is hosting two community workshops tonight to help with recruitment of a new city manager. The public is invited to the workshops to discuss what traits, characteristics and talents the next city manager should have.

The first workshop takes place between 5:30 and 7 p.m. today in the Community Activities Building, located at 1400 Roosevelt Ave.

Repairs to trail will limit access from Hillcrest Gate

Construction on Sawyer Camp Trail began Tuesday, limiting accessibility to hikers and bicyclists. The repair work will restrict access to the popular trail from the Hillcrest Gate to the south side of the San Andreas Dam between 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Construction is expected to last through July.
