Car catches fire on Bay Bridge

A car fire on the east span of the Bay Bridge prompted San Francisco firefighters to respond on Sunday afternoon.

The San Francisco Firefighters Local 798 posted a video on Twitter at around 1:06 p.m. showing a white sedan engulfed in flames on the bridge.

The union said the California Highway Patrol was on scene and that San Francisco firefighters were responding.

The sedan was pulled to the side and in an Oakland-bound lane.
