If you were wondering why the count for legislation voted on during Tuesday’s Board of Supervisors meeting only added up to 10, it was because District 9 Supervisor David Campos was in Barcelona. He left Friday and is expected to return Wednesday. The purpose of the visit, his office says, is to build on the relationship with that Sister City.
His travel expenses, a reported $1,578, were paid for by the Barcelona City Council.
The official purpose of the visit, as filed with the Ethics Commission, was to “discuss and explore mutually beneficial business and economic development opportunities and cultural exchanges following the recent establishment of Sister City relationship between Barcelona and San Francisco.”
