A statewide campaign to stop texting by teen drivers will come to a San Francisco high school next week.

With school out for summer soon, the campaign is intended to teach teens about the dangers of texting and driving. Distracted driving is considered a major factor in teen driving deaths.

On Thursday, personal injury attorney Brian Panish, who began the campaign, members of the California Highway Patrol, and a woman whose son was killed by a distracted teen driver will visit students at George Washington High School at 11 a.m.
