San Francisco resident Audrey Khuner, co-founder of the Hot Guys and Baby Animals calendar, is casting for her latest project in The City. Visit hotguysandbabyanimals.com.
What inspired you to start Hot Guys and Baby Animals? My best friend and business partner, Carolyn Newman, and I were both out of work at the same time and decided to create our dream job. Directing male models holding adorable puppies and kittens seemed like a good way to go. A portion of proceeds go to benefit Bay Area nonprofit animal rescues such as the SFSPCA, too.
What are you casting for now? We’re looking for both hot guys and baby animals for a 2012 calendar and the very first Hot Guys and Baby Animals book. Shooting starts Halloween weekend in San Francisco.
Is San Francisco an easy place to find hot guys and/or baby animals? It’s harder than you’d think. When I give my card to people, they seem to think I’m joking. So we’ve started a new casting experiment — throughout October, everyone in San Francisco is a Hot Guy and Baby Animal Recruiter. For every model you find that we use, we’ll pay you $20.
Who is your target audience? Our audience is anyone who appreciates hot guys and/or puppies, kittens, chicks, ducklings, lambs, piglets, etc.
