Cab driver injured in carjacking

A cab driver was attacked and carjacked by his passenger on the edge of San Francisco’s Potrero Hill neighborhood Tuesday night, police said Wednesday.

The 43-year-old man was driving the female suspect in a taxi just after 9:30 p.m. near Pennsylvania Avenue and Cesar Chavez when she started hitting him, according to police.

The driver stopped the yellow cab and got out, after which the suspect, who police described as being in her twenties, jumped into the driver’s seat and drove away.

The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.

No arrests have been reported.
