Soon the world will rejoice at the arrival of a new golden child: the latest addition to the Angelina Jolie-Brad Pitt clan. New details have emerged about Angie’s pending adoption of a tyke from Vietnam.

According to Vietnamese adoption officials, Brangelina will be bringing home a son who is 3 to 4 years old. The process will take up to four months, and an official assured Us that the Oscar-winning actress will have to follow procedure “like any other American.”

But a Vietnamese source told the same tabloid that there’s a strong incentive to cut through red tape: “[Angelina] promised to give $2 million to the Tam Binh orphanage on the very day she receives the child.”

By the by, as for Angelina’s single-parent status on the application, it doesn’t portend trouble in paradise: According to E! News, it’s simply a formality of Vietnamese law, since Angie and Brad aren’t legally wed. Whew — we can sleep now!

Is Howard K. Stern secretly brokering a deal to trade Anna Nicole Smith’s baby daughter for control of her inheritance?

The late model’s former lawyer and partner has raised eyebrows with his recent overtures toward fellow Anna ex Larry Birkhead. Both men claim 5-month-old Dannielynn is their daughter, but lately Howard seems to have relented in his antagonism toward Larry, first letting him see the baby in the Bahamas — then appearing on courthouse steps arm in arm with Larry and Anna’s mom, Virgie Arthur.

Now a report in the Star claims Howard is making nice with Larry in an effort to negotiate a deal.

“Over the weeks since Anna died, there have been many discussions between Larry and Howard,” a source told the tabloid. “Stern was calling Larry up to 10 times a day. He told Larry, ‘I’ll give you your child if I become trustee of Anna’s estate.’”

Let’s hope poor Dannielynn ends up with a parent who cares more about her than her money.

Dangerously in Love

Sandra Bullock has found happiness with her biker hubby, Jesse James of “Monster Garage.” But marrying a bad boy has its downside: Sandy says she has to accept that her man lives on the edge — and occasionally veers off it.

When she got together with Jesse, the “Premonition” star says, “I knew what I was getting into. Within three months of our relationship, he wrecked a car at 120 mph and almost died.”

“There’s always going to be hospital stays … like twice a year at least, and I know that,” Sandra admitted in an “Extra” interview. “I have all the information for insurance always close by in a wallet or in a purse.”

Well, at least she doesn’t have to worry about the excitement going out of their marriage.

Single and Sentenced

Terrence Howard denies the rumor that he’s involved with Naomi Campbell. Though reports have linked the two romantically, the actor-director says they’re only “linked … in a sense that we both have a mentor in Quincy Jones.”

“We’ve shared a lot of great moments and ideas,” the “Hustle and Flow” star told People. “That’s the truth of it. I’ve only known her two weeks!”

Terrence, who has a longtime on-off relationship with estranged wife Lori McCommas, says he’s trying to win her back. As for Naomi, his role in the cantankerous catwalker’s life is purely to encourage her to “maintain your majestic composure at all times.”

In other Naomi news, the anger-management-challenged supermodel has received a community service sentence for hitting her maid in the head with a cell phone a year ago. Naomi will do five days of cleaning work at a NYC Sanitation Department warehouse and undergo two days of counseling.

Two days? Um, we’re not sure that’s enough.
