A car pulled up to the ambulance bay at San Francisco General Hospital and let out a bleeding man Wednesday evening.

The 36-year-old man had been shot in the arm, abdomen and right leg.

At the same time, police were investigating reports of a shooting at 6:05 p.m. in the Bayview. Officers found a vehicle on La Salle Avenue at Mendell Street with bullet holes in it and blood near it. There were also shell casings close by.

That’s where Police believe the man who was taken to SF General was shot with a handgun by two men in their 20’s.

The suspected shooters were in a blue Nissan. No arrests have been made.

The wounded man was taken into the emergency room at SF General and is expected to survive.
