Two of Board of Supervisors President David Chiu’s proposals concerning nightclub violence are before the Public Safety Committee on Monday.

One concerns expanding the Entertainment Commission’s powers to include revoking permits of clubs where safety has been an issue. The other will review statistics from the commission and Police Department regarding violence.

Most recently, a man was shot and killed July 11 outside Jelly’s dance cafe in the Mission Bay neighborhood.
