There is $5 million worth of bond money that is supposed to be spent on fixing major eyesores in open spaces.
And now it’s time to start creating a committee to figure out which blemishes need it the most with a $250,000 limit out of the community opportunity fund.
Rec and Park is looking for a seven-person committee to organize the money.
Nominations are due July 16, and applicants will have to agree to a two-year term commitment to attend four or five mandatory meetings at the end of the year.
Then, anyone who wants to apply to use the grant money for a project in their neighborhood has to submit an application by September 24.
