County Transportation Authority unveils winning ‘livability’ phrase

One San Francisco resident has described “livability” as succinctly and accurately as possible, and as a result, they’re getting to see this weekend’s Outside Land’s Music Festival for free.

Last month, the San Francisco County Transportation Authority, a local planning and transit agency, held a contest via Twitter that asked area residents to define what livability means in six words or less.

The authority received numerous entries, but in the end, a panel of judges determined the winning phrase to be “accessible places, natural spaces, minimal traces.”

The author of that eloquent description, a Twitter user with the handle of AdinaR16, scored two free tickets to the Outside Lands festival, which takes place in Golden Gate Park on Saturday and Sunday.
