Residents can weigh in on long-term transit policies

San Francisco residents will get a chance to weigh in Thursday on the Plan Bay Area, a study to determine the region’s long-term housing and transportation policies.

Overseen by the Metropolitan Transportation Commission, the Plan Bay Area contains several different transit and housing scenarios for the year 2040. The MTC is now conducting its second series of community meetings to gather feedback from residents on what outlook would be their preferred choice.

At the meetings, residents can vote on potential transit investment and provide input on how they’d like to see the region reduce greenhouse gases.

Thursday’s Plan Bay Area meeting in San Francisco will take place at 5:45 p.m. at the UCSF Mission Bay Conference Center on 1675 Owens Street.
