Motorists wary of getting their car towed have new information on how to avoid that unseemly situation.

The locations and schedules of all The City’s tow-away zones is now available on the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency’s SFpark website.

Motorists can review a PDF map to see when and where they shouldn’t park if they want to avoid being hauled off by a tow truck. They can also review a data set of the towing times.

According to the SFpark site, the data collected on The City’s tow-away zones is 95 percent accurate. It doesn’t include information on tow zones that do not follow weekly schedules or only apply to single spots.
