Supervisors attend conference on transportation in Washington DC

Three members of the Board of Supervisors are attending the American Public Transportation Association conference in Washington, D.C., and will also make their best pitches for funding for key transportation projects.

Supervisors David Campos, Ross Mirkarimi and Malia Cohen are in attendance and are expected to miss Tuesday’s board meeting.

Campos said he will meet with U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein and Democratic House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi on Tuesday.

Significant transportation projects ahead for The City include the Transbay Terminal, Central Subway and Bus Rapid Transit for Geary Boulevard and Van Ness Avenue.
