Not like this is groundbreaking news, but people aren’t terribly happy with Muni service, according to a new poll conducted by mayoral candidate and current Assessor-Recorder Phil Ting.

Ting’s Reset SF project, a website which focuses on San Francisco issues, conducted a recent poll to gather feedback from residents on Muni, BART and other transit agencies.

One of the findings found that 56 percent of the respondents had an unfavorable view of the agency, with only seven percent of the residents having a highly favorable opinion of Muni. Those results were actually not too different from a recent customer satisfaction survey conducted by Muni itself.

While a 56 percent unfavorable rating -- and only 24 percent of that total was very unfavorable -- isn’t exactly an overwhelming rejection of Muni’s services, the results look particularly bad when compared to locals’ opinions of BART. Just 16 percent of the respondents view BART unfavorably, according to the Reset SF poll.
