He’s probably already got one, seeing as how they are the World Champions and all, but just in case, New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg will receive his very own San Francisco Giants baseball cap from Mayor Ed Lee today.
It’s all part of a warm welcome to The City planned at the Civic Center BART Station.
Both mayors will then retire to City Hall for a chat, according to mayoral spokeswoman Christine Falvey. Subjects include the characteristics of a good police chief, planning a large-scale event such as the America’s Cup, and environmental programs such as green taxis, electric car-charging stations and green-building standards.
But baseball won’t be the only sport discussed. We’re also told that Lee and the billionaire Bloomberg are avid golfers.
