Word around the Hall of Justice is that District Attorney George Gascón lunched today with attorneys at Public Defender Jeff Adachi’s office around the corner, according to a source close to the lunch.
The “brown bag” lunch event was planned in advance of the recent Police Department scandal and was to discuss Gascón’s “vision for the DA’s office and his recent planned restructuring in the office,” our source said.
But who could resist the opportunity to ask questions about the scandal to the former police chief and now chief prosecutor in charge of investigating Police Department corruption?
Especially a day after Gascón held a news conference that included a swipe at Adachi’s, shall we say, media-friendly approach to the ever-evolving investigation.
