The City is expected to approve a $4 million settlement for the abuse of a foster child and the death of his sister who was in foster care. The children were under the supervision of the San Francisco Department of Child Protective Services.
The Board of Supervisors Rules Committee meets Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at City Hall in Room 263 to vote on the settlement agreement. If approved, the full board would vote on it Tuesday.
“This is not something that goes away,” Darren Kessler, the plaintiff’s attorney, told The San Francisco Examiner last month. “This is something that will be with him for the rest of his life.
