A subcommittee of the Board of Supervisors will consider a resolution on Monday that would direct The City’s Recreation and Park Department to rescind the eviction of the HANC Recycling Center from Golden Gate Park.

The resolution would direct the department to establish a comprehensive parks recycling program using “the expertise, volunteer base and facilities” of HANC.

Mayor Ed Lee recently added his support to the previously announced but controversial eviction of the recycling center.

Supervisors John Avalos, David Campos and Eric Mar also support the resolution.
