SFO flights to Canada, Mexico may get cheaper

If all goes as planned, flights to Mexico and Canada could soon cost a whole lot less for passengers travelling out of San Francisco International Airport.

On Tuesday, the San Francisco Airport Commission approved a measure to slash operating fees for carriers coming back and forth from the United States’ border countries.

With cheaper operating fees, the airport commission hopes to attract more competition, thus lowering airline fees for passengers travelling to cities in those two countries.
