Golden Gate Ferry passengers travelling between San Francisco and Larkspur will notice some scheduling changes on Tuesday.
Nearly half of the agency’s 41 daily trips between the two sites will be tweaked, including the elimination of three routes and the consolidation of two others. The alterations will only be temporary, as the district plans on restoring full service by April 1 for the busier summer season.
The ferry service is managed by the Golden Gate Bridge District, which is facing a five-year, $89 million budget shortfall. The scheduling changes are part of a series of ferry measures aimed at generating up to $591,000 in revenue savings.
A copy of the new Larkspur ferry changes can be found here.
