In an effort to curb nightlife violence, The City will start requiring promoters to sign up with The City.

The Board of Supervisors voted unanimously Tuesday in a second and final vote creating the first-ever regulations for party promoters.

Introduced by Board of Supervisors President David Chiu, the legislation requires party promoters to sign up with The City on a public list, with contact information. Only those promoters signed up could do business in The City.
