The Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a $575,000 lawsuit settlement Tuesday resulting from a city worker hitting a bicyclist two years ago.
The bicyclist was struck by a vehicle driven Department of Elections worker when taking a left turn. The accident occurred on Nov. 4, 2008, at the intersection of Grove and Gough streets. The roads were dry and the weather was “clear, sunny and dry,” according to a report from the responding officer. The report says Kriete was knocked off his bicycle and landed on his right shoulder.
