A’s cap, not Dodgers, led to stabbing

Remember the man who was stabbed in the Mission district Thursday for wearing the hat of a rival sports team?

Cops initially wouldn’t say which sporting team caused the assailant to confront the victim. On Thursday, Mission Station police Capt. Greg Corrales revealed the victim was wearing an Oakland A’s baseball cap.

The stabbing occurred a day before the San Francisco Giants began a series against the rival Los Angeles Dodgers, leading many to believe that the victim’s hat may have been celebrating one of those teams.
