Noisy woman drenched by upstairs neighbor

Cops charged a fed-up man with battery for pouring a bucket of water atop a ranting woman who lives in the unit below him, police said.

The woman is famous on the block for shouting crazily at passersby from her front porch in the 2700 block of McAllister Street, police said. When cops respond to her rants, she typically retreats into her home. But on the afternoon of Aug. 29, she decided to come out and scream in front of the officers, police said.

But it wasn’t the cops that made the first move to quiet her down.

“Suddenly from the upper unit in the building a suspect poured a bucket of water over the offending neighbor’s head, soaking her,” police said.

The cops weren’t asking for that kind of help, so they detained the upstairs neighbor, charging him with battery, police said.
