The verdict is in for a murder case where the District Attorney’s Office challenged a judge’s ruling that the defendant should be charged with manslaughter. What did Patrick Sullivan get convicted of in a first-degree murder trial? Well, manslaughter.
Sullivan, 46, stabbed 40-year-old William Quinn inside the Cadillac Market at 499 Eddy St. on Nov. 30, 2009. Sullivan’s defense lawyer claims it was self-defense, but on Friday jurors didn’t exactly agree, convicting him of the lesser charge.
Sullivan faces more than four years in prison in the deadly Tenderloin spat.
