Face-punching, wallet-stealing punks on the loose

As if it wasn’t hard enough to hold onto your cash in this economy.

A man lost his wallet, and another lost his wallet and keys, in two separate strong-armed robberies during the weekend, police said. It was not immediately clear if the incidents were carried out by the same misguided miscreants.

At Seventh and Stevenson streets around 11 p.m. Saturday, four no-good punks punched a man in the face — the victim also said he was pummeled by a weapon of some kind, cops said. The man told police his wallet was stolen during the attack.

Then three hours later at 23rd and Carolina streets, another man was robbed at knife-point by three brazen men, described by police to be black men between ages 18 and 20. The victim was also punched in the face and had his wallet and keys taken, cops said.
