Impatient crook gets frustrated by the holdup during his holdup

Apparently it was the crook who was being held up.

A robber threatened to shoot a store clerk in Lower Pacific Heights on Wednesday for being too slow at handing over the cash, police said.

The suspect, described as a 45-year-old man, reportedly entered a store in the 1900 block of Fillmore Street about 4:50 p.m. and demanded money from the register. The female clerk “wasn’t working fast enough” for the suspect, police said, so he “put a hard object to her back and told her he would shoot if she did not hurry up.”

The man fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. No arrests had been made as of Thursday.

The clerk and another woman in the store were not injured. The victims reportedly never saw a gun.
