A squabble between two bumbling burglars over their stolen loot ultimately led to their arrests last week in South of Market, police said.
On Wednesday, a sergeant from the Southern Police Station reported seeing two men arguing in the 900 block of Folsom Street, between Fifth and Sixth streets. When the men saw the cop, they reportedly dropped their loot and started to walk away. The sergeant was immediately suspicious, police said, and detained the men. Suddenly, neither man wanted the loot.
The sergeant noticed that one of the boxes had the name and address of a residence that was less than a block away. It didn’t take long to discover the items had just been stolen from that address, police said.
